Hosting activities, challenges or games throughout the course of your event, no matter whether it be a seminar, conference or year-end function, this is a sure way to get people interacting & having fun!
Challenge them
Set your guests a challenge at the beginning of the evening, to be completed for a prize…
For a large gathering, guests could find someone with the same name or initials. This will at the very least have your guests asking each other’s names. But don’t make it too easy – don’t give them name cards, it’s cheating.
Being silly
A bit of silliness brings out the giggles – a sure way to turn yours’ into a memorable event. But silliness is best served in bite-sized pieces.
During a break or specified time slot, have your guests stick a card containing a mystery word (which has been prepared beforehand) to their forehead. Then asking yes/no questions only, each has to guess their word. This works well in groups too – the first group to get all their answers win!
Something for the ladies (or the brave men out there): try your hand at designer couture using toilet paper.
Passing the time
Setting down a chess-board, naughts-and-crosses, Jenga or even a communal word-search could be just that little something to give brains a rest. These are great during a break or at lunch times, or in the bar.
Idea: Making them BIG, i.e. big white board with magnetic naughts-and-crosses, big blackboards with word-search (and no list of actual words!) draw spectators & so gets others involved too.
And if you run out of ideas, ask The O Company, we can help!
